Endoanal Ultrasound

A diagnostic tool for rectal and anal conditions, using specialized imaging inside the rectum

Endoanal ultrasound is a medical test to check the muscles of the anus (sphincters). This test can identify abnormalities such as tears, fistulas, and masses in the area.

The examination involves inserting a rigid ultrasound probe through the anus, which the doctor will insert slowly. This probe has an ultrasound transducer built into its extremity that can cover, on a single plane, the entire circumference of the anal canal. The examination time takes around 10 minutes.

It is generally not causing pain and is well-tolerated, performed in the clinic as an outpatient basis without the need for analgesia or sedation usually with no complications from these investigations. Maybe you will sense defecation when the prob insert inside the anal canal and finish this sensation when the prob is removed.

When you finish the examination you can continue your activities.

Endoanal Ultrasound is a safe, accurate tolerable test. We are proud in Yugen Care to introduce the latest modern EAUS with 3D.

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoid laser treatment is a minimally invasive, an effective and a safe procedure for treatment of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids, also known as piles or hemorrhoidal disease, are swollen and inflamed veins in your rectum and anus, it can be internal or external. Hemorrhoids can cause itching, pain and bleeding. They’re common in both men and women of all ages.

  • No need for general anesthesia.
  • No cuts, open wounds, or sutures.
  • It’s a safe method for treating hemorrhoids.
  • There is no risk of rectal stenosis.
  • Laser therapy is a painless procedure.
  • It can be completed in less than an hour.
  • Rapid recovery and return to the daily routine.

The laser beam destroys the tissue surrounding the vein, allowing it to retract and return to its normal size without further complications like bleeding or infection. This process takes place quickly and with minimal discomfort, since there are no incisions or stitches involved in this procedure.

Laser Hemorrhoids treatment is the most effective method of treating this common ailment. It is extremely safe and effective, with virtually no side effects except for temporary discomfort during the procedure.

Anal Fistula

A small tunnel that develops between the end of the bowel & the skin near the anus. It starts with an infection in the anal gland. Anal Fistulae can present itself with many different symptoms like Pain, Discharge either bloody or purulent, Pruritus ani-itching

Your health professional can diagnose an anal fissure from your symptoms and a physical examination. The examination may include:

  • Looking at the fissure by gently separating the buttocks.
  • Digital rectal exam: The health professional uses a gloved finger to feel structures in the anal canal.
  • Anoscopy: Involves using a short, lighted scope to look into the anal canal.
  • Laser Treatment
  • Botox Injection
  • Lateral Sphincterotomy
  • Advancement Rectal Flap

Pilonidal Sinus

A small hole or tunnel at the cleft of the top part of the buttocks that contains hair leading to the formation of a cyst or abscess- superficial bacterial infection. This might cause pain in the mid-buttocks especially when sitting, swelling and redness, foul-smelling pus, sometimes with blood and hair, secreting from the cyst or abscess.

Pilonidal Sinus may be classified as “acute” or “chronic.” If there is an infected abscess, doctors would prescribe antibiotics as well as recommend a surgical operation to drain the affected area of pus. If the sinus is not infected, patients may opt for less invasive procedures, so they may continue with the daily activities even on the same day right after surgery.

It is essential that treatment is done during the early stages, before the sinus grows and requires a more serious surgical operation.

At Yugencare, we are proud to offer Laser Treatment and Endoscopic Pilonidal Sinus Treatment (EPSiT), a novel minimally invasive treatment for Pilonidal Sinus — the first of its kind in UAE.

Chronic Anal Pain

The presence of pain in the anus for more than 3 months is called chronic proctalgia or chronic anal pain.

  • A doctor’s consultation will help determine the cause and proper treatment for rectal bleeding.
  • Diet and lifestyle advice, as well as liquid fiber and laxative prescriptions are given.
  • Bleeding due to anal fissure or fistula may require both medical and surgical therapy.
  • Treatment for solitary rectal ulcers depends on severity. Mild symptoms may be remedied through lifestyle changes while more acute cases would need surgery.
  • When there is a presumption of intestinal polyps, colonoscopy is compulsory to perform biopsy.

Anorectal Problems

An anorectal abscess is a pocket of pus in the tissue near the end of the rectum (anus). Most abscesses are caused by a blocked anal gland that develops an infection. It causes symptoms like painful swelling (mass) around the anus, drainage of pus from the anus, fever, pain in or around the anus, pain when passing stool. Treatment is necessary to prevent worsening of the infection and serious illness.
