What is Detoxification?
Detoxification is the natural process by which your body neutralizes, transforms, or eliminates unwanted materials or toxins. It is the body’s primary function, constantly working and interacting with all other functions. So when we are talking about detoxification, it is about improving and optimizing the function of your body’s own detoxification systems, using short-term interventions.
This is done by decreasing the number of toxins we put into our bodies while at the same time supporting, enhancing our body’s detoxification and elimination systems with the nutrients it needs to function properly.
Why Do I Need Detox?
Our bodies actually detoxify naturally, but We live in a world that is filled with chemicals and heavy metals. They are in our water, in the air, in the food and in nearly everything we touch. Toxin exposure can compromise the process, causing our bodies to struggle to properly cleanse our organs and tissues.
Too many of us bathe and shampoo with products laced with chemicals, use products to shave, to smell good, to soften and treat our skin, and more. Every day, our skin absorbs these chemicals.
We pick up parasites from our food and our surroundings that take up residence in our bodies, which disrupt our inner organs, and interfere with optimum health.
Eating a diet high in meat, dairy, and processed or fatty foods can clog the system. Regardless of your diet choices, the state of your detoxification mechanisms and your exposure to toxins, just about everyone can benefit from the occasional detox.
The purpose of detoxification is to clear the body of these foreign substances along with accumulated waste in order to optimize healthy bodily functions and healing.
Consider it a system reboot, providing your body with a fresh start.
How Do I Know If I Need to Detoxify?
When the liver is overworked and overburdened by chemicals, medications, alcohol, caffeine; poor food choices and environmental toxins proper digesting of the food you eat is much more difficult.
When you don’t digest properly you don’t get the nutrients from your food to nourish your body which not only leaves you with low energy, difficulty losing weight and in pain, but also puts you at greater risk from invading pathogens.

- Unable to Focus
- Frequent mood change
- Emotionally unstable, depressed, unmotivated and lacking energy and enthusiasm for life
- Weight Gain

- Increased Headaches
- Stiff and Sore Muscles
